Baked Products

Italian women migrants soon learned there was no quick fix to finding sweet or savoury baking to supplement a meal or to serve with strong coffee at “la visita” – friends and relatives arriving for a visit. They had to make their own using recipes handed down by mothers and grandmothers. There’s no such need with a visit to Granarolo Retail & Trade. Their product offerings include Ghiotti grissini – breadsticks which can be wrapped in prosciutto for the ultimate appetiser – and other savoury bites.
Italian baking usually comes in four forms:
Fresh, creamy, chocolatey and decidedly delicate
Dry [biscotti] made with almonds, hazelnuts and other nuts and spices such as cinnamon – accompanied by a strong espresso
Frozen – cakes and pastries which present well when defrosted
Savoury snacks for entertaining guests over a glass of wine wine
